Supporting patients and families impacted by Leucodystrophies
ELA International is the largest founder of leucodystrophy research in the world.
Each year ELA holds a symposium on the topic of living with leucodystrophies.
In 2019 the ATOZ Foundation was proud to support this symposium which was held in Luxembourg and which aims to bring together researchers, clinicians and patients not only to develop new therapy for leucodystrophy but to help patients and families to cope with the disease by creating an open dialogue with experts in the field. This vital funding is being used to facilitate the accommodation and treatment of patients over the course of three sessions, along with family testimonials in the hope that researchers will improve patients' standard of care and receive insights into the disease with the potential to further their search for a cure
